Neff induction hobs have a strong electro magnet (or induction coil) positioned just under the ceramic cooking zones. When you switch on the zone you want to use and place a ferrous metal bottomed pan on it, this completes an electric circuit and heat is transferred evenly to the pan its contents. Induction cooking – it’s clean and it’s clever, and once you start using it, you’ll never look back.

Point & Twist – on the Neff T4593 – uses a removable magnetic central control dial. All you do is place the metallic dial in the centre of the control area. You then move it diagonally to the zone you want to activate (‘point’). Once the zone is activated, move the dial back to the centre and ‘twist’ to select the power level you want. Point & Twist keeps your hob neat and uncluttered; because it’s centrally controlled, it’s simple to use, and the dial is ergonomically designed to make the ‘twist’ motion effortless. And as for safety – you can’t even activate the hob without the dial.
